Past Videos

A selection of videos from the past that touch on a number of topics I wanted to highlight. A couple of these videos run pretty long, so only a few minutes should suffice. Nevertheless, try to appreciate some of the ideas presented here, the people involved and the things the accomplished are pretty inspiring.

Neil Armstrong: First Moon Landing 1969

One of the originals in terms of space film

EDGE of SPACE: X-15 - World's Fastest Rocket Plane

An incredible accomplishment, especially considering the age of when this technological invention was created.

Mercury Aurora 7 - Scott Carpenter's Famous Flight | NASA Astronaut Space Program

I Quite an inspiring mission considering the nature of the vehicle used: not much larger than a beetle.

Carl Sagan: We Humans Are Capable of Greatness

IOne of the great minds of the 20th century, Sagan devoted his life to the research and explanation of the cosmos. A man who was greatly concerned with the future of our scientific community as well, evident within this movie too.'

Northrop NASA Lifting Body Tests HL-10, M2-F2, M2-F3

Short film detailing some of the features with the lifting body aircrafts researched in the 60's and 70's. Some of this ships designs have since been used on more modern technology, exemplifying the use of a bodies own shape to provide lift rather than wings.

Space Shuttle Launch NASA Atlantis to the International Space Station

IThe beginnning of a 11-day, 6 person mission to the ISS on November 16th, 2009. Carrying 32,000 lbs of replacement parts, and bringing back an astronaut who was already in space.
